Eat*Drink*Cleveland

A hungry girl's adventures in Cleveland and beyond.

As I'm drinking my coffee this morning thinking about all the fun we had at Taste of the Browns last night, I realize that I'm still full!
The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is such a wonderful organization and helps so many people. All the chefs and restaurants involved really bring their A game and it shows. So.Much.Food.

The Barrio food truck and a band greeted us as we entered - it was a great way to kick off the night!
I did my best to try a little bit of everything, but with an event of this size it's almost impossible! But I tried my best...
B-Spot, Amp 150  and Edwins all had tasty dishes
And there were sweet treats too, including ice cream from Graeters.
Picking a favorite is really hard but this year, Parkers got my vote. I went back for seconds and considered thirds of their duck confit with white bean puree and salsa verde. I hope they put this on the menu so you can try it too!
In addition to all the amazing food, there were Browns players, both past and present, mingling with the crowds, taking photos and signing autographs. One of the highlights for me was to finally meet The Bone Lady.
The silent and live auction items as always were fabulous and the competition was stiff. Happy winners walked away with tickets to Browns games, a tailgate party with Chef Rocco Whalen of Fahrenheit, tickets to concerts, autographed memorabilia, a Vitamix and much more.

While we were happily noshing, the Cleveland Food Bank rang up more than $226,000 to help hungry families. With each dollar raised equaling four meals provided to those in need, it was a huge success!

Thank you to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank for inviting me to the event and share it with all of you. It's a phenomenal event for an important organization. If you have never been, put this on your list for next year for sure! In the meantime, you can donate here.
