Eat*Drink*Cleveland

A hungry girl's adventures in Cleveland and beyond.

When the American Cancer Society contacted me about helping them promote Harvesting Hope I didn't hesitate. They are an amazing nationwide, community-based organization that helps so many people through their dedication to eliminating cancer as a major health problem.

Harvesting Hope is an annual event that celebrates survivors and raises money for the Joseph S. and Jeannette M. Silber Hope Lodge, the American Cancer Society's facility that provides free overnight lodging to cancer patients and their caregivers who have to travel away from home for treatment. Since opening in 1995, the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program in Cleveland has provided more than 180,000 nights of free lodging to more than 5,600 patients and their caregivers.

This farm to table experience takes place on September 26th at 5:30 and showcases local chefs surrounded by the beauty of the Cleveland Botanical Garden. It features chef stations, a seasonal dinner, music from The Speedbumps, a cork pull and both silent and live auctions. Beverages will be provided by Brick and Barrel Brewery and Tito's Handmade Vodka.

When I found out the event was being held at the Botanical Garden just two days before our wedding anniversary, I was even more excited! It will be three years since we became Mr. & Mrs. and I can't wait to revisit our wedding site.
