Ajoyo Almond Milk Instagram Giveaway

Guys, I think spring is FINALLY here! Even though we aren't completely there yet, I know it's close. The birds are building nests and flowers are starting to bloom. These changes are extremely exciting and have me thinking of tank tops, shorts and bathing suits. Oh wait, BATHING SUITS! Ugh.

One more way I'm trying to be healthier is by starting every day with a smoothie. This is seriously the easiest way to add a ton more veggies and fruits into your day.


Packing the smoothie with protein is a must for me. If not, I'm starving in an hour. I use both Greek yogurt and Ajoyo Almondmilk to help me stay full until lunch.


I love that Ajoyo is a local company, part of SmithFoods in Orville, Ohio. I also love that they are non-GMO and don't add high fructose corn syrup to their products. Plus Ajoyo Almondmilk is lactose-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, doesn't contain cholesterol or saturated fat and is Kosher. I wish it didn't contain gellan gum and xanthan gum, but the ingredients are good compared to some of the other almond milks on the market. The have full list of products (and ingredients) online.

And to help you Start Small, here's one of my favorite green smoothie recipes.


Add each ingredient to the blender in the order given. 

1/2 c. Ajoyo Almondmilk, vanilla or plain

1 8 oz. c. Greek strawberry yogurt 
2 giant handfuls of kale or spinach
3 XL leaves of basil
1 stalk celery
1/2 inch piece of fresh ginger
1 ripe banana
1 medium carrot
3 pitted medjool dates
1/2 c. cubed mango or papaya
3 T. chia seeds
1 cup of ice (or more if you like your smoothie thicker)

Blend until smooth. Sprinkle with bee pollen and serve. Makes 2 generous servings.
