Eat*Drink*Cleveland

A hungry girl's adventures in Cleveland and beyond.

I do a ton of my shopping online because it's so convenient and I hate driving all over to find something. But I always get out to the stores around the holidays. I love the hustle and bustle, decorated stores, and great selection. My only problem is that I end up seeing a million things I want to buy for myself that tends to distract me from the mission at hand! These shops and pop ups will make your shopping a breeze.
Head to the Screw Factory/Lake Erie Building at 13000 Athens Ave in Lakewood for a one day artists markets where you'll be able to finish up your last minute holiday shopping...or grab something for yourself! There are TONS of vendors - click here for a list.

The Collective Upcycle Pop Up Shop is TODAY -

Seriously, you need to get there! So many cool gifting ideas! Soaps, scarves, jewelry and more!

On 12/14 and 12/15 you can also experience the newly named Cleveland Bazaar. This is the same Bazaar Bizarre that you know and love, just with a new name. Find them at 78th Street Studios on the 1st and 2nd floors. Saturday 10am - 9pm. Sunday 10am - 6pm. 78th Street Studios also has their Third Fridays event coming up on 12/20 for even more local shopping fun!
Salty Not Sweet is located at 2074 W. 25th in Ohio City. Handmade and vintage art, jewelry and household items await. You can enter a giveaway for a super cute necklace over at CLE Fashionista. Click here to enter. Ends TODAY Friday 12/6.

Close by is another Ohio City gem - R/S Boutique is located at 2078 W. 25th. For the holiday season, they have a must visit pop up called Made in the 216. You can find adorable clothing, Cleveland t-shirts, housewares and more. All by local artists. Sometimes you might even luck out and visit on a night they are providing free cocktails...

Another pop up is over in Shaker Heights. Head on over to Van Aken for some fun shopping and delicious treats. At that crazy intersection of Chagrin, Van Aken, and Warrensville Center we all know and love is the new location of Lucy's Sweet Surrender. They have a handmade market inside in addition to their normal fabulous baked goods. Famous for their strudel and Hungarian sweets, you'll want to take home a little of everything. My favorite is their bread w/ carrots in it. Toasted with some butter it's to die for!! From there, head west.

Juma is a fun place that's part art gallery, coffee shop and boutique. It's a cozy and friendly space. They are hosting vendors from the Cleveland Culinary Launch & Kitchen so you'll find a lot of goodies perfect for gifting all in one spot. I dare you to not grab some for yourself especially if Mason's Creamery is there.

And yet another fun pop up in Tremont is the Tremont Holiday BrewHaHa. With free admission and parking, trolley rides, tasty food vendors, and over 25 artists selling their goods it's sure to have something for everyone. Be sure to stop by Heather Smotzer's stand for some gorgeous metal jewelry - she's one of my Cleveland favorites.

Did you know that there's a local cigar company? If you have a cigar lover on your list,  La Barba offers premium cigars that follow the classic cuban sizes and are made to be paired with wine and spirits. Click for list of local stores that carry the cigars here.

This is just a partial list - there's so many local places to find great things, why would anyone want to shop at Wal-Mart?? Click here for a great list from Cool Cleveland for more ideas.
