Eat*Drink*Cleveland

A hungry girl's adventures in Cleveland and beyond.

I was invited to attend the preview party for The Cleveland Flea's Holiday Flea and I jumped at the chance to get a sneak peak of all the goodies. It was a blast! It was my first time at the Slovenian National Home (it's so pretty!) and at this event. It won't be my last. Tomorrow is the last day so be sure to check it out before it's too late.

Here's some of my favorite things:

vintage Santa ornaments - only $2 each!

Charlie Brown Xmas trees and the cutest terraniums from Green Thumb Design
Adorable owls for the little ones to chew on from Vintabulous
Samples were available: ice cream from jeni's, frozen yogurt from Piccadilly Artisan Yogurt, delicious popcorn, assorted cheeses from the Underbelly and a s'mores bar
My favorite treats of the night were the chocolate chip cookies from Cleveland Vegan Catering. O.M.G. Delicious! I never would have guessed a vegan cookie could be SO good! Their zucchini cake was yummy too.

There is SO much more to buy for yourself or for presents for those you love all the while supporting our local artists. The Maple Forest lip balm from Yates Apothecary smells delish and is good for your lips. The soy candles made by Peripeti Home come in so many delicious flavors it's hard to choose just one. This is my kind of shopping: local, handmade, vintage - the best!

The Underbelly is a foodie extravaganza located in the basement. Over 25 vendors serving up artisan food and drinks. Be sure to stop by and grab a bite to eat and there's a full bar in case you get thirsty. There are so many tasty vendors - it makes the trip worth it even if you aren't a shopper!

While you're in the area, be sure to stop by the Collective Upcycle at 6202 St. Clair for even more shopping fun. This popup features artistic recycling at it's best. If you bring your own bag, you'll be entered to win a $25 gift certificate.

*** Disclosure: I was invited to attend this event with one guest. We received some food samples and complimentary beer from Sterle's and wine were available. As always, all opinions expressed are my own. ***
